National Calibration, Inc. (NCI) is an accredited calibration and repair service company based in Scottsdale, Arizona. NCI maintains laboratory [Locations] in Utah, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas. As a premier calibration provider, NCI provides services nationwide while maintaining its focus on the American Southwest region. 

NCI was established in 1962 as a department within Western Technologies, Inc., an engineering firm, and has continued its support of engineering disciplines from its inception to the present. Over the years the department that became NCI underwent many changes. In 1970, Phoenix Non-Destructive Testing Group inherited the equipment and responsibility for its calibration and maintenance and instituted many of the standards that formed the basis of NCI. In 1985, after deciding to add equipment sales to its calibration services, NCI was incorporated as its own company. In 1992, NCI consisted of one office in Phoenix and five employees. NCI has now grown to over 40 employees in five states. In 1999, the Phoenix (now Scottsdale) laboratory was accredited by A2LA and Albuquerque followed in 2022. 

Today, NCI services a wide variety of clients in many sectors, including aviation, construction, government entities, manufacturing and medical, just to name a few. NCI’s professional technician’s service and repair a wide variety of instrumentation and measuring devices in strict compliance with applicable industry standards. NCI conducts rigorous internal audits, creates and updates internal quality processes and standards, maintains accreditation with the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Council (ILAC), works with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), National Association of Proficiency Testing (NAPT) and the National Council for Standard Laboratories (NCSL),  to support NCI’s overriding mission: to be known as “The Quality People”.
